The island of Lošinj and its surrounding islands boast over 250 km of hiking and trekking trails, catering to both casual walkers and those seeking more challenging routes. The most famous trails run along the slopes of Osoršćica, a stunning island mountain with its highest peak, Televrin (588 m), St. Mikula peak (557 m), and the cave of St. Gaudentius. From its summit, breathtaking panoramic views extend over the Cres-Lošinj archipelago, Istria, the Kvarner Bay, and the Velebit mountain range. On particularly clear days, after a strong bora wind, even the Apennines are visible in the distance. Osoršćica was the first Adriatic island mountain to attract the interest of tourists, as evidenced by the newly restored Prince Rudolf’s Trail, named after the Austro-Hungarian crown prince who hiked from Radiboj Bay to Televrin in 1887.
